My Adventures

California & Vegas

What better way to spend your honeymoon than two weeks’ road-tripping in California!

From watching the Super Bowl in San Francisco, to being surrounded by snow in Lake Tahoe, then driving down the Pacific Coast Highway to warmer times in Monterey, though the Big Sur to Pismo Beach and onto LA, Vegas and finally Encinitas, where we caught up with friends!

Australia

Ahh Australia, my happy place! Having been to Australia many times before and living in Sydney for a year in 2010, I couldn’t wait to re-visit, but this time with Lee who had never been before.

With so many friends in Sydney we spent most of our time here, however we both wanted a trip to Melbourne and I was really keen to have a ‘holiday within a holiday’ to show Lee the amazing Whitsundays.

Hong Kong & Bali

Another destination wedding…how can I say no! With Hong Kong being quite far (and we imagined a little hectic and fast-paced), my boyfriend and I decided to make the most of being that side of the world and added on a relaxing trip to Bali.

Hong Kong was great, we soaked up city life and wedding festivities meant we experienced Hong Kong’s beaches. In Bali we stayed in Ubud, Gili T and Seminyak.

Italy

BLOG COMING…ONE DAY
If you’ve read any of my other posts, you’ll know I can’t say no to a destination wedding, so when my good friend Andrea invited Lee and I to celebrate their big day in San Gimignano we couldn’t say no.

Wanting to make the most of Italy we decided to first head to Rome; after seeing all the sights, we drove 4 hours north to the beautiful San Gimignano where we celebrated WatsonWed2018. Wedding festivities done, we then drove up to Pisa to spend the evening before flying home the next day.

New York

What better way to start the new year than with a trip to New York?! When we saw that Norwegian Airlines were selling flights for as little as £255 we just couldn’t resist. Having been twice before I couldn’t wait to take Lee with me as he’d always dreamed about going.

We had an amazing four days exploring this awesome city despite it being really quite cold; no snow but all the lakes and ponds in Central Park were completely frozen. We ate good, drank good and walked a millions miles.

Seville

After our beautiful late September wedding I thought it only right that we treat ourselves to a little mini-moon, as we wouldn’t be going on our actual honeymoon until the new year.

I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband and didn’t tell him until two days after our wedding. I chose Seville as I knew it was still likely to be warm and sunny despite being so late in the year and because the flights were short and reasonably priced.

India

I felt intimated at the thought of going to India, but how wrong could I have been. India is truly a very special place.

I felt intimated at the thought of going to India because of the chaos, but how wrong could I have been. India is truly a very special place.

After 12 days in Sri Lanka, my friend Debbie and I flew into India to meet up with our friend Rach, a travel writer who was in Kerala for work.

In India we travelled through Kerala (Fort Cochin, Cherai Beach and Alleppey) and onto Goa and Mumbai

Sri Lanka

I had my heart set on going to Sri Lanka and couldn’t believe I was finally going. My good friend Debbie and I did 12 days in Sri Lanka before flying onto India.

In Sri Lanka we covered ColomboKandyAdams Peak (by far my highlight), Nuwara Eliya, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle and Negombo.

California

In 2014 I went on a brilliant roadtrip with my Aussie girlfriends, Siobhan, Michelle and her sister Fiona.

We flew into LA, before driving up the PCH to San Francisco, Napa Valley, Yosemite and then back south via Death Valley to Vegas.

We finished our trip in the beauty San Juan Capistrano for Alicia and Lawrence’s wedding.

Croatia

In September we flew into Split, where we had four nights to see the sights, before catching a ferry for 24 hours in Hvar. To finish off we headed to Dubrovnik for our last two nights.

A very fun filled weekend with some gorgeous girlfriends, visiting the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar, France.
